How much does it cost?

We understand that veterinary costs will quickly add up, so our mission is to have pricing that is easy, consistent, and manageable. Each appointment with a veterinarian is a flat fee of $40, regardless of the length of time. The app is free to use, and you do have to pay if you need to meet with a veterinarian. There are no monthly or yearly membership dues. Many times we will also have promotions which will lower the cost for our users.

What types of pets does MaxCare support?

MaxCare's on-staff veterinarians are trained to offer wellness consultations with the following species: dogs, cats, chickens, snakes, and pocket pets (bunnies, hamsters, gerbils, rats/mice, guinea pigs, and so on).

Can I request a consultation for a large animal such as a horse?

You should definitely do so, but we cannot promise that an appropriate Veterinarian would be available within the specified 15-20 minutes. We will surely make an appointment for you within the next 24-48 hours.

How long can I chat or talk with a Veterinary Professional?

The length of consultations varies, but the pricing does not. For a single appointment, we charge a fixed fee of $20 regardless of how long you are communicating with a vet practitioner.

How do I know I'm getting a certified vet professional?

We understand how important it is to take care of your pet. As a result, in order to join MaxCare, all veterinary practitioners must meet a certain list of requirements. We make certain that any veterinarian is certified in at least one state and has a degree from an approved veterinary or veterinary technology programme. We are continuing to expand our MaxCare membership to include all veterinarian practitioners from all animal species and medical specialties.

How can I choose the veterinarian?

We also developed a powerful matching technology that locates the most appropriate vet specialist for you in the shortest period of time. You would be matched based on your main concern and the species of your pet. This means that if you have a cat, we can pair you with the best feline specialist available in that time period. When you request another appointment, we cannot promise that you will still get the same Vet practitioners.

How do I refer back to what was discussed on my consultation call afterward?

Following the appointment, the veterinarian will submit any applicable observations or advice in a follow-up notification. When logged in, you can access previous consultation calls in the chats folder.

Can a MaxCare Veterinarian diagnose an illness and/or medications for my pet?

MaxCare is designed to offer general guidance outside of the veterinary-client-patient partnership (VCPR), and the veterinarian may not make precise medical diagnoses or administer medicines. While many of the vet practitioners on the MaxCare network are registered veterinarians and qualified veterinary technicians, a veterinarian may have formed a legitimate VCPR in order to make a specific diagnosis or treatment plan or administer medicine to a Pet Parent or its pet, which in most states includes a physical in-person review.
